The core – central symbol of Heikedine Günther’s Œuvre – represents both, the essence of life as same as the infinite potential of growth. Heikedine Günther’s Diptych Core No. 418, 419 (2020) combines two abstract core-paintings that are each composed in an opposite color sequence towards its counterpart. In this composition black and white arise like two extremes – connecting with philosophical questions about polar opposing and yet related dual principles that do not compete but complement each other.
